the new university computer lab is actually somewhat convenient, despite the fact that it has no zip drives. to compensate, it has approximately fifty imacs, of varied colors. i want to steal a keyboard and mouse from one of them, but imagine it's better practice to go buy one. that way, i won't be expelled. oh, how logic seems to rule my life these days.
i just got back from econ 1, where i learned how to multiply and add. actually, Ben/Nick and i had a great time mocking the people in our class who can't do basic arithmetic but somehow weaseled their way into our prestigious institution. the way home was the fun part. after a quick chat with Kenji about some acadweb stuff, I meandered down to my humble abode; never before have i fallen flat on my ass so quickly. i tried the oh-i-was-just-checking-out-my-shoes-torque look, but couldn't prevent myself from laughing. nineteen years after i show up on this planet, i still can't walk properly. oh well. i guess i have something to learn here at Tufts besides how to bs homework assignments.
intel is getting high tech with its new laptop chips. what the report fails to mention is that macs have been doing this for years, except with faster chips and longer-life batteries.
i made a nice post to the e-mail list of university web developers [ uwebd ] bashing netscape and touting standards-compliance browsers. some guy tried to flame me. i just shot him down. i feel like an asshole. oh well: such is life.
just picked up a copy of Apache: The Definitive Guide that I ordered from amazon.com. for the second time, they included ten 1-cent stamps. Jeff Bezos is cool. remarks on the book soon to follow.
