crazy, sexy, cool, and worth $2,454,580.00. ok, human for sale tells me the last part is true, but as for the first three assertions, they're just there to beef up this post.

babies are great, really: hours of entertainment. we've already saved a fortune on movie rentals.: mike of hunkabutta.com consistently cracks me up. his photos of his newborn, jack, are great. check it out, yo.

"who are you that lies when you stare at my face, telling me that i'm just a trace of the person i once was, cause i just can't tell if you're telling the truth or a lie. don't talk, listen. hold me tighter. stay with me just for awhile. until the sun shines, stay with me. just give me one more day."

louis, 20:31: #

on the same note, if someone pisses you off, i encourage you to throw him or her out. make your life more pleasant while making the job of your friendly bfi representative more exciting.

Sidney, 18:48: #

For those of you who keep damn near everything that has a hint of sentimental value:
Get angry and throw away all the shit that you've always wanted to get rid of but never have due to fear of regretting it.

I did that earlier this week. Someone pissed me off, and I then had the strength to get rid of several trash bags worth of things. Things like "friendship" books, letters, dried flowers, an entire photo album, etc.

Not only will you not have to look at things that now only sadden/anger you, but you'll have so much more room for newer, better, more sentimenal items.

FYI: my closet is as spic-n-span as it's ever been.

for several months i have been talking to people about how i am fascinated by american nationalism and the notion of a flag uniting a nation. talk talk talk. that's all i did; over the last three months, i've taken approximately one hundred photos of flags - most often of the united states' stars and stripes.

i have chosen nineteen of these photos for your viewing pleasure. it is with utter joy [ at the fact that i finally sat down and put these things together ] that i present to you:

the american flag

i claimed not that perl is a good language; rather, i meant to demonstrate my amusement that such code works. i do own quite a number of books on perl, but that is simply to reassure myself that not only is there much for me to learn, but moreso that there is a lot i have little interest in learning. [ e.g. asp ]

that much said, were i to speak in perl, my talk would be cheap. namely by the time i got through "hash exclamation pearl space hyphen pee break" a sane person would do any or all of the following:

Sidney, 21:29: #

Louis, my friend, perl blows.

I had a slight revelation today, while speaking with a friend who just broke up with her 'man.' She was raging on and on about "ALL talk is cheap." Like most things, I found this absurd.

If talk is cheap, then why do certain phrases mean so much to the common person.

"I love you."
"It's over."
"You're beautiful."
"I do."
"Die."

So on and so forth. See, talk isn't all cheap. Only certain words by certain people in certain (and sometimes most) situations are. Actions may occasionally speak louder than words. But good god, some words speak volumes, yo.

Yeah, I don't play around with intoduction posts either :P

you would also have to name this koala "koala" and make sure it didn't order you around too much or steal all of your n64 time :p

louis, 01:09: #

if i had a koala, i would teach it tae kwon do and have it learn how to teach a chihuahua kung fu. this to fulfill a dream of my brother & i. both the koala and the kung fu chihuahua would help protect me from strangers for many an evening.

ok well i beat you to it if you wanted to be one of the presitigious few to see the system before it was live. check out my new photo display system. oh yeah... if you're using netscape 4.x, you're not gonna get a stylesheet yet. i'll make you a different template some time soon. however, i'm knee deep in building a big fat cms for work right now, so i'll have to do it later.

louis, 05:41: #

i've worked on the photo system enough for people to play with it. [ front end ] if you're interested, please e-mail me. i think i will go to bed now.

louis, 00:38: #

of course our fun didn't end! the lovely ms. emily escorted the louis to the "neighborhood t station" [ in fact twenty-two point four or so miles away ], at which point they bid one another 'adieu' and moseyed on each's own way. on the t ride from braintree to davis, the louis finally constructed a cms for his photos, which has yet to go live, but no doubt will do so quickly. in related news, the police in the town of duxbury are the opposite of winners. especially the ones on bikes.

2001-07-21

emily, 23:47: #

so tonight Louis and I were driving around Duxbury causing trouble like we always do, and we drove by a Miss Smarples walking on the side of the road at around 10:45 pm. We decided to turn around and meet up with her and in so doing we also found Miss Jocey and Mr Mark who were there to pick up Smarples. With them being stopped in the right lane, I stopped in the left lane and we all got to talking...until the friendly motorcycled policeman kindly pulled up behind us for a word or two.... *sigh* did our fun end? I guess you'll have to decide on that :p

I spent lots of time trying to integrate css into my webpage, but for some reason free servers, my hosting compnay [you get what you pay for, I pay nothing] didn't like it, and didn't support it. So instead I devoted a lot of time to my blog. Well, It is pretty much done for the time being because I will be gone for a month. I am off to be a CIT at Joslin Diabetes Camp. I am gone for 27 days, crazyness.

Hmm, so I'm the new guy, and I'll bet I'm the only person from the caribbean here (right?), but enough about me, who are the rest of you people, come on, make the stranger feel welcome ;) I find this blog strangely familiar to my own easy : 9, so it feels like I've entered my own bizarro universe, where the basic inner-workings are the same, but the people are alien (yes, that'd mean you people), but, it's late and I should go enter my "sleep" universe before I get smacked by the wife ;)

i have photos to post but my camera's software is being crash-prone and i'm too busy w/ work to fix it. patience is a virtue. so they say.

ken, 14:53: #

oh yeah, that. my registration ran out, and i renewed my domain with buydomains.com, but they fucked it up, and then it didn't renew, and then i didn't get my email for like the last three weeks, and then i had to print out and fax a form and send along a copy of my license, and now the stupid morons still haven't fixed it. i'm going to yell at them some more i guess.

emily, 12:09: #

why?

emily, 11:31: #

yeah, so towards the end of my trip to Munich, Dena, Leigh Ann, Tyler, and I visited Dachau. It was an almost indescribable. But there were many small parts that created a strong impression on me. One of these points was a plaque in the church of the German Evangelical Sisterhood of Mary on the camp's grounds. It had these quotations: 1) What have you done? The voice of your brothers' blood is crying to me from the ground. (Gen. 4:10) 2) Have mercy on me, oh God, according to thy steadfast love, according to thy abundant mercy blot out my transgressions . . . for I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. (Psalm 51:143) 3) We humble ourselves beneath the serious crime our nation committed at this place, which inflicted such great suffering upon the Jewish people and members of many other nations.

Bill, 10:46: #

Perhaps I missed a blog by Ken, but it appears he took down his website. Can anyone enlighten me?
