three cheers for george w bush. seems he's been promoted from being the stupidest president ever in office to being israeli sellout #1. i'm surprised hamas is still bombing the israelis… given the world's power dynamic, they should just bomb the white house.

yes, of course i'm being sardonic. people, think about what the guy said:

i've said in the past that nations are either with us or against us in the war on terror. to be counted on the side of peace, nations must act. every leader actually committed to peace will end incitement to violence in official media, and publicly denounce homicide bombings.

what about the propaganda that supports israel's occupation of palestinian lands? what about the media blitz supporting killing anyone remotely suspected of association with al qaeda? mr. president, are you ready to take on abc, nbc, cbs, cnn, fox, the new york times, and everyone else who's inciting violence? perhaps they aren't official, but they're just regurgitating what you're saying.

people, it's time to step away from the patriarchy and think about what the media's saying between the lines. as human beings, each one of us has inherent worth and dignity, and too often that is compromised. such a strong pro-israel stance by mr. bush is only going to make more people not bother to form his or her own opinion and simply jump on the "let's just remove their government and all will be ok" bandwagon. tell me this… if removing a government works, why are so many americans afraid of al qaeda?

I have been quite busy lately.
I just got home from Boy's State the other day; I was there for a week. It is a program run by the American Legion to "promote the democratic process". If you can get past the cultish brainwashing feeling that the program's mission statement implies it was a good time. It was at Stonehill College, and there were 400 boys from around the state. We created our own governent, and also political parties that had their own (usually interesting) platforms. It seemed that people either hated or loved the program. I definately think it was worth my time, and I had fun: it was definately better than a week of school. Before I went to Boy's State I got to take my exams ahead of time. It was quite nice because I could schedule them at my leisure, and therefore had no "hard" days, but it also put extra strain in terms of finishing my research paper early (interestingly enough it was about the president's war on teerror and the lack of results). The only thing that I hadn't planned for was a bloodsugar level of 578 when I went to take my spanish exam (needless to say I did not go forth with it). So Tomorrow I will go and take my last exam. Then I am done with my junior year of high school.
Tomorrow night I have to get my senior picture done because I will be away all summer long. I am going to be a counselor at Joslin Diabetes Camp. It is ironic that I am from MA and go to Joslin because it is world renowned and people come from all continents and many many countries because it is recognized as the best diabetes camp in the world (believe it or not there are ~500 of them). I am decently paid ($1400 for the summer), and I plan to get myself a Sony DSC-707 camera like Aryn. The camp is very well funded and thankfully I'll have satellite internet access.
I will be there from June 18th through August 18th except for a week when I will be participating in the Massachusetts Association of Student Councils' Leadership camp since I am the MASC webmaster. The site is jsut ok, but it will be better soon.
I hope all is well with you guys, and I'll continue posting to my blog, Stimilon. (my mailing address will also be listed there if you care to send me anything).
