the view of the cranberries at the level of the bog’s water: cranberries everywhere

cranberry harvest (1) - october 26, 2001

i grew up with a cranberry bog more or less in my back yard. hence, i’ve become used to the annual harvest of the bog, wherein machines drive around the flooded bog whacking the berries off of their plants. the berries all float to the water’s surface, and are collected together to be delivered into the back of many trucks. thus, for a day or so, the bog becomes a sea of cranberries.
